Ask anyone that has ever come in to contact with Kimberly Parker and we bet they will all say the same thing, "I've never met a nicer person in my life!" She exudes creativity, loves endlessly, and everything she touches becomes beautiful.

We wanted to introduce the founder of our brand to you!

So here you go!

Where did the name Sisters of Nature come from?

I took awhile to think of the name because I really wanted something to perfectly capture the community of adventurous, free spirited women I wanted to create. I believe God created us, this beautiful world we live in and all the beauty of the universe. Since everything came from the same Father, it's like we're sisters of nature and of each other. We all lie down beneath the same moon and rise beneath the same sun as one big family.

What is next for your brand?

The next exciting thing for the brand is us launching our own label. I'm heading to LA for a few months to get it all set up and am overflowing with ideas. I can't wait to get it going! It's been a dream of mine for so long and it'll be so fun to do exactly what I want and get to share it with the world.

What does a day in the life of a Nashville designer/creative look like?

It's pretty different everyday, but when I'm in the middle of a creative project I get super absorbed in it.  I'll lay in bed thinking about it and editing it mentally, wake up, not even change clothes and immediately dive into it. Usually around midday I'll take a walk around or take a look at some of my inspiration photos to refocus myself and then hop right back into it. I work in weird creative cycles where I'll work nonstop until the idea is done and then take long breaks from anything creative so my mind can rest from the artistic marathon.

What is the best trip you have ever been on?

I'm on it right now as I write this actually! My husband, best friend from Scotland and our dog Brave are on a cross country road trip. So far we've swam in the crystal clear waters of Pensacola, driven through the prairie lands of Kansas, adventured in the Rocky Mountains, climbed the Great Sand Dunes and soaked up geothermal hot springs in Colorado. Next up, we're headed to Utah, Arizona then landing in LA.

Which part of nature do you resonate with?

Fields. I love all of nature, but when I see fields, especially flower fields I just feel completely free and at peace. My heart flutters at the sight of it and I'm always pulling over to run through them. I just want to be covered in flowers, I love them. Each one is so different with beautiful colors and different patterns and the most amazing scents.

What staple piece in your wardrobe can you not live without?

I'm currently in the process of trying to rebuild my wardrobe and really trying to pay attention to the pieces I absolutely love and bring me joy. One staple that I've been in love with lately is our Bahia Dress. I love how easy it is and there are so many ways to style it. I even hiked up the Great Sand Dunes in it!

Stay tuned for what is next from Kimberly & Sisters of Nature! We made a few announcements in our post from Nashville Fashion Week that you should totally read if you haven't already.

XO,

Emily
